Google sends out notifications about unnatural links

According to forums for webmasters in the last days hundreds of site owners abruptly began to receive notification about unnatural links. In March, this year, a lot of webmasters have received such messages but lately there was a lull on this “field” and just 2-3 persons write such notifications per day.

Most of the webmasters who have received messages in the last days, say they don't promote their sites using paid links.

Previously, Matt Cutts explained that such notifications are sent manually. Usually punished in this way site lost their positions for up to six months and to return site's position as soon as possible, it was required to request a review about ban.

But this time the situation is different. After publication of numerous complaints of webmasters, Matt Cutts wrote a post in Google + that so many webmasters began receiving notices because of the search engine's decision to send out massages even if punishment is not imposed on a site.

Google notifies webmasters about unnatural links that lead to their websites even if these links can't affect in any way.

If the search engine took more serious steps to a site than the webmaster will see search traffic reduction .
