Google launches a new version of Custom Search
Google introduced a new version of Custom Search Engine – HTML-markup, which allows you to add functionality via Custom Search Engine system to various pages on your sites.
Control over the Custom Search pages element placement and the ability to configure settings allow you to customize it for website interface.
The new version of Custom Search is synchronized with the settings exposed on Google Custom Search Engine servers, which means that webmasters don't have to copy and paste the new code element to sites for each modification made through the control panel CSE.
The new version should reduce the load time due to asynchronous code, it may slightly affect the position of pages in Google search results, because search engines have been known to take into account the speed of loading pages in rankings.
Google representatives have noted that now global settings CSE can be made for each page individually. You can include, for example, saving search history, set different parameters of Google Analytics, etc. You can set up it with the help of simple HTML-syntax and doesn't require any knowledge of Javascript.
Google adds that so far will continue to support older versions of Custom Search Engines.
